Four stones, one limestone belt.

All four are Shahabad limestone from the Kalaburagi belt, worked from our own beds at Miriyan. Grey carries the volume, Yellow the character, Maroon the rarity, Cream the interior floor.

    The volume stone

    Shahabad Grey

    Cool mid-grey with a fine, even grain and low tonal spread across the bed. Supplied riven or honed, with brushed and polished available to order.

  • Shahabad Yellow limestone honed face

    The character stone

    Shahabad Yellow

    Warm golden buff with visible movement through the bed. The colour deepens markedly when wet, which makes it the stone to specify where water is part of the scheme.

  • Shahabad Maroon limestone honed face

    The rare bed

    Shahabad Maroon

    Deep muted purple-brown, worked from a narrow horizon within the same belt. Output is limited, so it is sold against named projects rather than held as open stock.

  • Shahabad Cream limestone honed face

    The interior floor

    Shahabad Cream

    Pale off-white with a warm bone cast and very little movement. Produced honed, brushed or polished, principally for interior floors and wall linings.
