Shahabad Maroon

Deep muted purple-brown, worked from a narrow horizon within the same belt. Output is limited, so it is sold against named projects rather than held as open stock.

Commercial building lobby floored and clad in polished Shahabad Maroon limestone, with daylight raking across the reflective surface — Installed. There is no comparable dark warm limestone in general UK distribution at this price. Specifiers use it for interior floors and lobby cladding where a dark stone is required without moving to a granite.

Honed: Calibrated and ground to a flat matte face. The standard specification for external paving.
Brushed: Diamond-brushed after honing. Softens the arris and lifts a fine directional grain.
Polished: Progressive grit sequence to a close reflective face. Interior use only.
