The volume stone

Shahabad Grey

Cool mid-grey with a fine, even grain and low tonal spread across the bed. Supplied riven or honed, with brushed and polished available to order.

Texture at working distance. Dry, the surface reads as a flat mid-grey with faint pale calcite threading. Wet, it drops roughly two tones to a charcoal and the threading sharpens.
Contemporary terrace laid in large-format honed Shahabad Grey limestone with tight sawn joints, low evening sun raking across the surface
Installed. Sits directly against the grey limestone paving already stocked by UK merchants, at a landed cost that reflects a single-handling supply chain. Bed depth at Miriyan carries this stone in continuous production, so repeat orders match.

Shahabad Grey

Honed

Calibrated and ground to a flat matte face. The standard specification for external paving.

Drag the slab, or use the arrow keys, to move between finishes on one piece of Shahabad Grey.
Riven
Natural cleft face, left as the bed splits. Highest surface relief and the strongest wet grip.
Honed
Calibrated and ground to a flat matte face. The standard specification for external paving.
Brushed
Diamond-brushed after honing. Softens the arris and lifts a fine directional grain.
Polished
Progressive grit sequence to a close reflective face. Interior use only.

Wet

Dry, the surface reads as a flat mid-grey with faint pale calcite threading. Wet, it drops roughly two tones to a charcoal and the threading sharpens.

Every sample box ships with a water bottle so the wet tone can be judged in the light of the project.
