How Shahabad Grey compares to grey limestone already in UK distribution

Stacked bundles of grey and cream limestone tiles showing calibrated thickness at the edges

Merchants already stocking a grey limestone paving line will find Shahabad Grey sits close on colour and slightly above on density. Absorption at 0.34 percent is at the tight end for the category, which shows up as less staining under planting and less spotting in the first winter.

Where it does not compete is on format. The bed gives large thin sheets, so 1200 × 600 mm at 20 to 25 mm is natural to produce. Very thick riven setts are not what this material is for.

Expect a working tonal range across a container rather than a single flat grey. We grade to two tonal bands and label crates accordingly, so a contractor can blend from three crates rather than discover the range at the fourth.

For a merchant, the practical test is a full pallet rather than a sample box. We ship a mixed trial pallet on request against a first container commitment.
